About 3 Queens

Our Story

3 Queens is a small family-run distillery in Charlotte Amalie built around local production, a historic property and the idea that visitors should be able to see where things are actually made.

A working property

Distillery, museum, garden and workshop.

We wanted to build something that felt rooted in St. Thomas rather than simply branded with St. Thomas. That means doing the production here, working inside an old building, growing some of our botanicals on the property and letting visitors see the process up close.

Over time the property has grown beyond spirits. Coffee is roasted here. Hot sauce is made here. We host tours and events, and we keep restoring rooms and adding historical interpretation as we go.

Made here

Local means the work happens here.

We ferment, distill, age or rest, bottle and label our spirits on St. Thomas. We roast coffee in the building and use the property itself as part of how we work, from rum barrels to garden botanicals.

There are easier ways to put a Caribbean name on a bottle. We are more interested in making the product where we live.

Amber & Island Mike

The people behind 3 Queens.

This page is intentionally designed to become more personal once we choose the strongest portraits and working photos of the two of you.

Amber

A native Virgin Islander and the driving force behind the distillery, production and much of the hands-on work happening around the property. The next version of the site should give Amber a proper profile and show her actually making things rather than treating ownership as a footnote.

Island Mike

Host, storyteller, tour guide, builder and the public-facing personality who helps connect the distillery to Charlotte Amalie, island history and the visitors who walk through the gate.

What we are building

More than a bottle of rum.

The long-term idea is a place people remember: spirits, coffee, food products, history, gardens, events and a distinctly St. Thomas experience under one roof.

Distillery

Small-batch rum, gin, cane vodka and coffee liqueur.

Coffee

Beans roasted on-site and connected to the Killdevil Trading House brand.

Museum

The history of the property, slavery, island labor and the changing city around it.

Garden

A tropical courtyard that gives visitors somewhere to stop and stay awhile.

Events

Private tastings, receptions, welcome parties and other gatherings.

Local Goods

Hot sauce, coffee, apparel and other products made or developed here.
